Our Vision
- Intensify community use and awareness of libraries
- Financially assist needed library purchases
- Sponsor community cultural programs
- Communicate community needs to the libraries
- Create public support to expand library programs
- Encourage gifts, endowments and library memorials
The Friends Support Our Libraries By
- Funding programs and materials not covered by library budgets such as providing books and prizes for Summer Reading Programs and funding story time, music and games.
- Sponsoring speakers and programs of interest for all ages such as the monthly 'Afternoon at the Movies' event at Donald Dungan and Mesa Verde's 'May the 4th Be With You' event.
- Stimulating community awareness and use of our libraries including promoting Library events and purchasing interactive musical instruments at both Libraries.
- Creating public support for our libraries and the services they provide such as Tech Tuesdays at Donald Dungan and Pages and Paws'
- Supporting legislation favorable to our libraries
Memberships are greatly appreciated as it is our main source of revenue to support our libraries and the wonderful programs they provide.
Donate to the Friends
Your generous donation will fund our mission and help support library events such as:
- Storytime, music and game days at both Donald Dungan and Mesa Verde Libraries
- Donald Dungan tech Tuesdays
- Movie licensing and Afternoon at the Movies (Donald Dungan)
- Mesa Verde May the 4th Be With You (Star Wars Event)
It will also help us provide:
-Interactive Musical Instruments at both libraries
- Books and Prizes for Summer Reading Programs
